Day 1: Arrival

After arriving in Kuala Lumpur, you’ll transfer to a deluxe hotel in the vibrant heart of the city to spend the evening at leisure. Overnight Stay at: The Four Seasons, Kuala Lumpur

Day 2: Sepilok Nature Oasis

After a morning flight to Sandakan, you'll be welcomed and transferred to the wild oasis of the Sepilok Nature Lodge. Cradled amidst blooming orchids and tropical vegetation, this is a true sanctuary nestled in the arms of nature. Here you can enjoy an optional afternoon city tour of Sandakan exploring its cultural and historical curiosities. In the evening, you can also opt for a visit to the iconic Rainforest Discovery Centre, scaling its iconic 620m Skywalk to discover the exotic wildlife thrumming in the treetops. Make sure to keep an eye out for flying squirrels, tarsiers and slow lorises as you wander amidst the canopies. Overnight Stay at: Sepilok Nature Lodge. Meals: Breakfast & Dinner

Day 3: Orangutans & Wetland Retreat

After a delicious breakfast, you’ll visit the Orangutan Rehabilitation Centre to witness the feeding and rehabilitation of these majestic primates. After a stroll through the thrumming tropical forests of Borneo, you’ll then visit the Sun Bear Conservation Centre to learn of the work being done to help these beautiful bears. After a local lunch, you’ll then enjoy a picturesque boat ride from the Sandakan jetty to your wetland retreat in Kinabatangan. Upon arrival, you’ll tuck into local banana fritters and fresh coffee as you’re briefed on your upcoming adventures. In the late afternoon, you’ll enjoy a boat cruise along the stunning Kinabatangan river in search of exotic wildlife such as proboscis monkeys, maroon langurs, gibbons, crocodiles, eagles and hornbills. As the sun sets above the water, enjoy the shimmering dance of fireflies as you cruise back to the retreat. After a scrumptious dinner, an expert guide will take you on a torchlit night stroll along the boardwalk in search of fascinating nocturnal creatures who stir to life under the stars. Day 4: Ox Bow, Fishing Village, River Cruise

With a tasty packed breakfast, this morning you’ll go cruising to ox-bow lake to observe all sorts of vibrant birds and exotic wildlife. You’ll learn about the local Orang Sungei (River People) with your guide as you glide past the local fishing village, with the option to buy their fresh catch of the day which the chef will happily cook up and serve for you at dinner later. In the afternoon, you’ll explore the wetland retreat with an expert guide in search of intriguing plants, insects and birds before setting off for another river adventure cruising through mangroves and an array of atmospheric landscapes in search of fascinating wildlife such as orangutans, kingfishers, crocodiles, macaques, langurs and flying lizards. After a mouth-watering dinner, you’ll then set off for an enchanting night cruise along the small tributary rivers in search of all sorts of nocturnal creatures. Under the moonlight, keep an eye out for owls, tarsiers, slow lorises and even the elusive clouded leopard. Overnight Stay at: Kinabatangan Wetland Resort Meals: Full board

Day 5: Danum Valley & Rainforest Lodge

Today you’ll travel by boat and land to the breathtaking Danum Valley Conservation Area. After lunch, you’ll enjoy a guided trek through luscious ancient forests (which are a million years old!), swim in refreshing rock pools and see the forests from above on the iconic Canopy Walkway. In the evening, after a delicious dinner, you’ll head out on a night drive using an electric buggy in search of some of Borneo’s majestic large mammals, such as leopards, marbled and bay cats, orangutans and pygmy elephants. Day 6: Danum Valley Immersion

After waking to the calls of wild gibbons, you’ll head out after breakfast for a guided trek to the spectacular View Point. After visiting the ancient burial site of Coffin Cliff , you’ll then meander back for a lunch spread at the lodge. In the afternoon, you can then take a guided jungle trek or, if the weather permits, enjoy a replenishing tubing session drifting down the Danum River as wild monkeys swing above you and butterflies flit past your ears. After dinner, you’ll embark on a guided night walk under the stars, meandering by torchlight on the Nature Trail in search of a treasure trove of nocturnal wild wonders. Day 7: Lahad Datu- Gaya Island

After a relaxing morning and lunch at the lodge, you’ll be transferred to Lahad Datu to catch a flight. You’ll then enjoy a swift scenic boat ride from the Jesselton Terminal to your Gaya Island resort. The rest of the day is yours to spend at leisure, unwinding in the tropical paradise of Gaya island and immersing in the luxury facilities of this retreat. Day 8 & 9: Gaya Island

For the next two days, the time is yours to enjoy the sensational coastal wonders of Gaya Island at your own leisure. Meander through the bustling rainforests, replenish in the spa, unwind down on the ivory shores of the beach and feast on divine local and international cuisines. You can also enjoy the use of kayaks, paddle boards and snorkelling equipment to explore the technicolour curiosities in this tranquil nature oasis. Day 10: Departure

After a final delicious breakfast feast at Gaya Island, you’ll journey by boat to Jesselton Point. From here you’ll be safely and smoothly transferred to the airport to catch your return flight.
